Came for the pool- they take only cash. Came to Amherst for vacation- lake has red flags galore, most red centers require you to be a resident, this is the only open to public place, admission is $5, and they can't even take card. Wth is up with that. It's 2026. GET SQUARE OR SOMETHING DUDE

The town park of South Lorain. Armory stands proud with vintage army vehicles and flag. Swimming pool basketball court several baseball fields and of course βThe Hillβ for taking your kids out sledding on those so frequent snowy days. Ah what memories can be made!

The city needs to start ticketing people for how they allow their dogs to poop all over this park. I wanted to go shoot around and poop is all over the basketball court,I had to play hopscotch to even get to the court and back to my truck. When I was pulling up it was a guy allowing his dog to poop in the grass and then he just left. I won't go back until they clean up the area and start holding these nasty folks accountable. People should learn how to take care of things.

A neighborhood staple. Happy to see its revival taking place. So many families have wonderful memories in this park. A great place for a walk, a run, some basketball, or to catch a softball game.
